Byzantine Church of Taxiarches in Aigina

The Byzantine church of Taxiarches was built over the ruins of the Temple of Zeus Hellanius on Mount Hellanion Oros on the island of Aegina in the 12th century. It is located on a hiking trail that leads from the car park below Mount Hellanion Oros to the summit.
